A hub can be a platform, a place or a community

Spaces, recurring meetings and professional networks activate territorial specialisation.

The Hubs Models document compares networks centred on physical spaces, recurring events or membership. This separates infrastructure, community and the mechanism generating activity. A place can host incubation and laboratories. Recurring meetings connect projects and specialists without requiring a dedicated venue. A community maintains knowledge, cooperation and relationships between meetings. These models can combine a local presence with digital tools. WINFDI’s sector hubs organise content and references. Institutional nodes identify real territorial resources. Examples in the source inform research; their members are not presented as WINFDI partners, and unverified network sizes are not reproduced.
